You want your special needs family member to ride, and we believe they can. iCan Bike Houston is a part of the iCan Shine family of programs.  Community partners in your neighborhoods work together to bring this wonderful program to Houston. We spend one week out of every summer teaching 30 special needs individuals how to ride a two-wheeled bicycle without the need for adaptive devices.  


  • iCan Shine is a nonprofit, tax-exempt charitable organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the IRS Code. Donations are tax deductible as allowed by law. Unless specifically requested by the donor, donations are not considered restricted and all donations are confirmed with a receipt for tax reporting purposes. 

Pierce Albrecht Scholarship

Announcement

We are thrilled to announce the naming of our Financial Aid Scholarship after Pierce Albrecht. The Pierce Albrecht Financial Aid Scholarship is designed to support families and make iCan Bike Houston accessible to all. This scholarship is open to all families who are interested in sending their children to iCan Bike Houston who have financial aid needs. This scholarship provides an amazing opportunity for children to participate in iCan Bike Houston and gain valuable bike riding skills while having fun. 

About Pierce

iCan Bike has meant a lot to me personally because biking had always been a challenge to me. This camp enabled me to face my trepidation with biking and finally learn how to ride a bike! With amazing spotters and a supportive team, I was able to not only succeed but excel at riding a bike within the first few days. From not being able to ride on a bike without falling off immediately to riding at top speed with no help was an amazing experience that would not have been possible without this camp. I could finally ride around my neighborhood trails and to my friend’s house, opening whole new doors. Thank you iCan Bike for this once in a lifetime opportunity!
